I’m a registered counsellor who values the richness and complexity of relationships and connections between people, communities and the natural world. My work is person-centred, recognising that each individual brings their own strengths, values and understandings and that different approaches suit different people. Respecting, valuing and celebrating diversity is central to the way I work.
With a background in environmental science and education, I integrate creative approaches and nature-based practices within an evidence-informed therapeutic framework that draws on Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) to support self-awareness, emotional regulation and meaning making.
In sessions, we might talk, create, notice and explore – using conversation, metaphor, art-making or nature connection as supportive pathways. Sessions are often held outdoors (either seated or as walk and talk therapy) to support nervous-system regulation and a sense of groundedness. I focus on relationship, safety and building strong foundations for sustainable change, supporting people to reconnect with their strengths and values.
Creative Groundwork acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present, and emerging. We recognise their enduring connection to Country, and the wisdom it holds for healing and growth.
